1983 南京大学理学学士，1987 加拿大多伦多大学理学硕士，1992 美国斯坦福大学理学博士，1992-1995 哈佛医学院博士后，1995.8-2000.6 美国科罗拉多州立大学助理教授，2000.7-2003.6美国科罗拉多州立大学副教授，2003.7- 美国科罗拉多州立大学教授，2006-中国科学院化学研究所化学生物学研究中心主任，2012- 南京大学化学化工学院教授。
